Ceramic Braces are the Clear Choice for Adults

Everyone wants a beautiful smile, but how many adults are willing to endure years of traditional braces to get one? A mouth full of metal, for many people, would undermine confidence with peers and authority at work, so they resign themselves to having a less than perfect smile. If this sounds like you, Dr. Stanley has the solution: clear braces. Also known as ceramic braces, clear braces are a quick and discreet way to straighten teeth while maintaining a high level of self-confidence.

How do clear braces work?

Unlike traditional braces, clear braces use translucent brackets rather than metal ones. Because they blend in with your teeth, they are much less noticeable than conventional braces. While older types of ceramic braces used ligatures that would often stain, Dr. Stanley uses a brand called In-Ovation C which does not require these small rubber bands, so there’s no possibility of staining. In-Ovation C braces use a technology that places very little pressure on the teeth while gently guiding them into proper alignment.

What are the advantages of clear braces?

  • Aesthetics. The clear brackets are less noticeable than metal and blend in with your teeth, so you can feel more confident when showing off your smile.
  • Greater comfort. The free-sliding technology of In-Ovation C is gentle and causes very little irritation to the mouth. In addition, there’s no uncomfortable tightening involved.
  • Shorter appointments and faster results. Self-ligating clear braces require less time in Dr. Stanley’s chair and less time overall to complete treatment.

Am I a good candidate for clear braces?

Clear braces can correct the same problems traditional braces can, but they may not be right for everyone. Ceramic braces are more brittle and require more attention to proper oral hygiene, so some patients may be better off with traditional metal braces. Only Dr. Stanley can tell you which course of treatment is right for you, so schedule your consultation appointment today.

Dr. Stanley offers several types of braces to suit the needs of all his patients. Contact our office today at (559) 435-6465 to schedule a consultation. We serve patients in Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Sanger, Chowchilla, Visalia, Tulare, and the surrounding areas.
